Day of Dignity 2020

On October 31, 2020, Amana Foundation held the 14th annual Day of Dignity Philadelphia event. A total of 750 adults and children were provided with winter supplies, COVID-19 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits, and social services. In order to comply with local and federal regulations and guidelines, the event was run with significantly fewer volunteers. All volunteers and beneficiaries wore masks and remained socially distant throughout the event. Volunteers from throughout the Delaware Valley came together to serve our neighbors in need.
To date, Day of Dignity has distributed nearly 10,000 coats/sweatsuits, thermal sets, gloves, hats, scarves, hygiene kits, blankets, bags/backpacks, meals, and more.
This event is sponsored by Islamic Relief USA and is supported locally by Foundation for Islamic Education, ICNA Relief Shams Clinic, Islamic Community Center of Lancaster, Islamic Society of Chester County, Islamic Society of Greater Valley Forge, Muslims Serve, as well as 40+ individual donors. Thank you to all who have contributed to this important cause!
